Go West Young Man!!!

The retirement of our co-worker, Bob Sauser, has caused the redistribution of his responsibilities. Bob served as the West Coast Regional Field Director. Herb Taylor (who was our best-man in our wedding over 41 years ago), the director of Hispanic Ministries, will receive a few of Bob’s missionaries as his new responsibility. We will take the remaining missionaries, which you can see on the map. For us that means we will not always be heading eastbound to visit our BCP missionaries from IN. We are scheduling/mapping and filling our 2019 calendar with travels west of the Mississippi. Our partnership with each of you is valued and precious to us. We are praying and asking that God will help us develop healthy, godly, and encouraging relationships as we practice the one- another commands with our new missionaries. We appreciate your partnering with us in praying with us to that end. We look forward to introducing these additional missionaries and their ministries to you in our Focus section during 2019!

Our Year in Review As we review this past year, we are in awe of all that God has done for us. This past January we traveled safely to the Chicago area and New Milford, CT,  and we intentionally engaged in developing relationships with the body of believers at Kossuth Street Baptist Church. Throughout the year  Tim was both training and being trained via Skype. In February we had a longer trip into OH, FL and WV that kept us on the road into March. Council meetings and traveling to NY also occurred during that third month. After Resurrection Day we had visits to CT and NY, including attending T4G in KY where Tim relished the opportunity to hear great preaching, make connections with pastors, and enjoy good fellowship.

In May we journeyed to MA and NY. June brought our NJ and PA trips. We made multiple ministry visits along the way, and in early July God allowed us to reach full funding for our ministry (until April of 2019). Then our cross-country trip for Family Camp in IA, and on down to AZ, where we marveled at God’s handiwork in creation as we safely drove those many miles. We are always grateful for your prayers for our safety! That trek went into August, and Tim had the opportunity to teach at Kossuth for the Connection Hour (S.S.) when we returned home. He also went to PA for the last Sunday of that month.

September Council meetings meant we were back to OH; then we continued on into NY. That last weekend of that month Tim was in WI for Leadership Retreat. On his way back to IN, he stopped in IL for the IL-MO Association conference that was held the first two days of October. Then trips to WV & OH for Fall Conferences. Last month Tim traveled to FL.  The week following his return we traveled East again to NJ, NY and VT. We arrived home in early December as our first born left for HI. Because she was called, by many, a Pearl Harbor Day baby, Hannah has always wanted to go for a visit!

We are looking forward to some down-time from our traveling schedule to enjoy our family in IN before embarking on a new year of additional responsibilities and travel. Our son-in-law Evan arranges our rental for each trip. Our daughters Becky and Esther have helped with some of our neglected housecleaning chores. We both enjoy teaching Bible Class to our home-schooled grandkids. All this helps us stay somewhat connected to our life in Indiana. For the rest of the month we plan to rest from traveling to enjoy celebrating the faithfulness of Our Loving Lord. We trust you will have a Blessed Christmas celebration remembering His Faithfulness to His promise to you, Galatians 4:4–5:  “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” We wish a Merry Christmas to our dear praying brothers and sisters in Christ!
